Beautiful restaurant with valet parking. Carlos was a fantastic waiter and loved all of his suggestions. We had a couple of mezcal cocktails that were delicious. We tried the raw oysters, cauliflower side, masa pork appetizer, and the braised beef cheeks. The beef cheeks are going on my favorite dishes in Houston list, for sure. Smokey, a little kick, melt in your mouth magic.

We came to Xochi to celebrate my husband's birthday and I made reservations. We were seated promptly and there was a happy birthday card signed by the owners. I really nice touch. We ordered some cocktails made with Mezcal and a moly tasting platter. Everything was delicious. Our waiter Carlos was very friendly and gave some good suggestions for food. We ordered beef, short rib, pork, shank, and scallops for main course. We also ordered some Calabazas and cauliflower sides. Every single dish was delicious and paired perfectly with a Molay sauce. We ordered a second round of drinks. Another great cocktails experience. Smoky Mezcal was fared perfectly with different fruits and citrus. We really enjoyed them. Although we were very full, we had to get dessert because we were celebrating. We ordered Cacao and a pumpkin mousse dessert. The pumpkin mousse was beautiful and amazing fall flavor. But the Cacao was out of this world. We couldn't tell that the shell was edible white chocolate filled with all kinds of chocolate goodies inside what a treat. From valet parking to delicious cocktails, appetizers, main course, and dessert and service with a smile from Carlos. Overall, a perfect dinner experience.

Went to Xochi with about 40 people for a work event. Usually, the food is disappointing , even in good restaurants, when serving large groups. Not here. The food and service were excellent. I've never had better scallops! Highly recommend.

We were here for the Sunday buffet. The array of different vegetables was huge and all were outstanding. The pozole was amazing. But meats were disappointing - all were very dry and overcooked -brisket, ribs, chicken drumlet. Desserts were very good, especially the seed and nut brittle and the alfajores.

Xochi is an experience I finally tried their Sunday buffet which is $45/person. The buffet has an array of high quality food with plenty of veg options for those that do not eat meat. Each portion of food was delicately put together. I'm recommending this Sunday buffet to all my friends.

Great restaurant conveniently located near the convention center. Bright and lively ambiance, great attentive staff and really good food that has a modern yet authentic twist embedded in its cuisine. I tried the Nervous Traveler cocktail, a delicious and highlyyy recommended option I tried just by its unique mix of two tequila types. Little did I know that my choice came with a very cool experience of the server bringing my drink in a shaker and finishing the preparation table side. Definitely a cool personal touch that enhanced the experience. Overall, great option and staff was excellent!

Came in late on a friday because we were in the area and luckily there was no wait! It was near closing time so we wasted no time in getting our order in, but at no time were we rushed to leave. I heard many good things about this place so I was excited to try. Drinks: strong! good taste and this is someone who usually gags at any alcoholic drinks. 8.1/10 Oyster: a big fan of cheese and baked oysters so this was my favorite hehe. Oyster were cleaned well so 0 sand which is usually my only criteria. Cheese wasn't overwhelming or anything. 8.4/10 Sea bass(?): this was like ceviche(?) so the thing on top was chips and underneath it had the fish. Fish itself was not fishy at all - and having been a while since I had fish it was very pleasant! Wish there was just more chip amount because there was a decent amount of fish. 7.9/10 Lamb Taco: soft but the flavor wasn't 100% there for me. i feel like i had better but lamb was cooked well. thinking about it lamb isn't my top meat either so it's just a little biased as well. 7.2/10 I forgot what the last one was. but i wanted to try it as i don't believe i had it before (i forgot what category it belongs under but i believe my friend said it was bean related? I liked this for the variety. I felt everything meshed well together for a great bite. 8.2/10

I have had dinner here a couple of times and the food and service is amazing! The decor and ambiance really makes the restaurant stand out! I will be back in the future!

This spot does such a great job of honoring Oaxaca traditions and flavors (particularly mole and mezcal) while challenging the assumptions you may have about Mexican food and beverage. Like an incredibly curated wine list from south and central Mexico and nothing resembling Americanized "Tex-Mex"in sight. We came during Houston Restaurant Week and had a beautifully elevated prix-fixe, but most notably, it was a Monday night and the energy was positively bustling with not a single table open. Our server, Virgil(io) was also perfect, with great recommendations, and that magical skill of never seeming rushed while he's serving you and yet appearing as if his head is on a swivel the rest of the night, always noting the second you may need anything. Also worth noting that this location is in the Marriott Marquis with the Texas-shaped lazy river and a great spa so perfect spot for a staycation or a work trip with some worthwhile dining and excursions!

Phenomenal experience and food! The waitstaff was knowledgeable and friendly. The food and drinks we tried were exceptional! Try the mole sampler was such a great way to sample the mole from this region. My husband doesn't like mole but loved this. The dessert is beyond explanation. We had a corn three ways dessert. It's looks like corn but isn't. Just try it, I promise you will not be disappointed.
